Andre's Birthday
Okay I thought since it has nearly been a month since Andre's Birthday, I thought it was about time to get his birthday pictures posted! I am getting worse and worse about blogging. I can even find time to clean my house, let alone blog.

On his actual Birthday we just had grandparents and my sister over for cake. Andre did get to have his best friend Gavin stay for pizza and cake. Some of his presents were. High school musical 3, a new skateboard (Dad broke his other one), A Nerf gun. Play mobiles, books, Star wars stuff, and transformers.

Finally after a re-lighting Andre was reading to make a wish!

This year we through a magic themed party. I love themed parties Andre has had some fun ones. This one was one of the funniest I think, although I am not sure nothing to touch his super hero one a few years ago.

here are pictures of the invitations I made. We gave each kid a stack of cards in side this box. The box read Ali-ka-zoo, Ali-ka-zam. Pick a card that says how old I am. Then they went through the cards until they came to the number 7. On the number 7 card was the rest of the invitation with the details on it. I thought they had fun getting them. Andre had fun giving them.

At the party we had the wonderful magician that goes by Wesley. That's right he also knows magic. Just one more thing to add to his resume. What else dose he have up his sleeve? He was very inexpensive and very good. He is now booking for summer parties!!! Just kidding but he did do great.

Somethings in his bad of tricks were: Turning a Pennie into a dime, turning two bunnies into six, and making bubble gum appear. He also taught the kids a few card tricks and a trick with the wands we gave them as favors.

The cupcakes did not turn out they way I planned. So we had to improvise. They were suppose to be top hats with rabbits coming out of the hat. When they came out the oven a little misshaped we had to come up with something else. So I shoved the rabbit into the cup cakes spread some frosting on them and told them they had to pull the rabbit out of the cake. The kids loved it.

While they were downstairs watching Wes' magic show. I went up stairs and hid there cupcakes under each of the top hats we gave as another favor. When they were all sitting I had them wave their magic wands over their hats and say the magic words. Then they lifted the hats and voila there was the cupcakes. Wow magic hahaha.

The favors we gave them were the top hat and wands. Then we also gave them these boxes that had candy and a few other things that went with some magic tricks Wes had taught them.

Here is all the crew showing off one of the tricks they learned with there wands. They were a great group of kids.

Thanks to all the kids that helped make Andre's birthday special. Thanks to the most talented husband in the World Wes. (Seriously is there anything he can't do). Most of all thanks to the best little boy in the world Andre. I guess it is time I dropped the "little" part. I swear that seven is so much bigger then six. I am so glad to be your mom Andre!!!

I know these are random but I just can't believe it! This is how we had to dress to day. Some one pissed of mother nature. She just keeps teasing up with spring and just when all our snow is melted, bam she throws down a blizzard. Serous we got like 6 more inches just since this morning. I can only say one thing. I can't wait till mexico!!!

Snow, Snow, Go away!!!

Photobucket

Yesterday was such a nice day. The snow was almost melted away. We got out and played a little basketball, skateboarded and grilled some steaks. We could almost fell spring in the horizon. Today, a much different picture. We woke up to 8 inches of snow. No lie, I measured our driveway. And it is still snowing. Yuck, Yuck, Yuck.

I realized that I have not posted any of our winter fun. So in honor of our lovely weather today here are some pictures of us enjoying the snow. These were all taking on Valentines day.

We have a small hill in our back yard. So we busted out the sled and decided to ride our small hill. The kids still had fun even though the ride only lasted 2 seconds.

Happy Birthday
Andre
Today our little man turns 7. Honestly where did the time go. I think that 7 sounds so much older then 6. I now that sounds lame but it just hit me.

Hope you have a great day Andre. We love you so much.

Surprise

Last year I got a scale for Valentines Day, this year a very chic bouquet of flowers thanks Honey!
Photobucket

Funny story: I haven't even told Wes this story yet, but since he edits all my post (thank you for that by the way honey) I guess he will know about this now. Just remember honey I love you. Sorry for snooping.
So about a week before Valentines day I got the mail. As I was thumbing through it I noticed a envelope address to Wes in ladies handwriting. All it had on the return address was a Ladies name Andie Saxton. Naturally I was curious so I riped that baby open. Only to find a invoice for an order of Valentine flowers. Oops!!!
The little sweetie has never given me flowers for Valentines day. In fact I can count on one had the amount of times he has every given me flowers period. Wes is a practical gift giver, Which I love, but it is always very nice when he blows his money on flowers.
Well, needless to say I felt very guilty for blowing the surprise. So I came up with the idea that I would hide the letter until after Valentines and then I would pull it out and tell him that in came in the mail after the flowers came. As I got looking it read please pay amount due. Worried that he needed to see that and pay it. I knew I need to get in his hands, but how?
Now most people would just give it up and tell there spouse what had happened. However I saw an opportunity and took it. Lucky for me we had a very busy mail day. Wes came home from work and was so excited his package of Sham Wows came he grab it along with a stack of letters and began to open them. Wes has inherited this technique form his mom, but he grabs the hole stack of mail and opens them all at the same time. Then he looks at them one by one. I knew this was my opportunity. Lucky I was making Kendyl a very fluffy tutu, so I went to the hiding place of the letter snuck it into the tutu and went and turned on my excitement about the lame sham wows he had been waiting for. Conveniently, I set the very fluffy tutu on top of the stack of mail. Asking Wes to show me this great sham thingy's. Completely and quite easily distracting him. While he was busing busting open his package I was able to sneak the letter onto the bottom of the stack. After giving a Wes a few ooos and aawws over his Shammy's. I grab my tutu and went back to making it. Completely minding my own business so he had ample time to see his invoice for the flowers and hide it from me. He he! I pulled it off. It is not very easy to pull anything over on Wes but I did it. So naturally I acted all surprised when I got the flowers and he was non the wiser. That is until I now. I never intended on telling him but it just makes such a funny story I just had to. Plus, I want to remember it.
So sorry honey I ruined your surprise and flowers were a very big surprise. but I loved them just the same and they were beautiful. Thank you. I love you so much.
Every year we make a Valentines dinner for our kids. This year although not so Fancy but very festive I made a heart shaped pizza.

Photobucket
Andre also taught us about manors that he learned at his Valentines tea he had at school. Too bad they only last the one dinner.
Thanks, to my loves for a great valentines day!
