The Arichensons Family Christmas Party
Fondue anyone? Well to bad, not when Mandy's cooking. Let's just say fondue is not the easiest thing to cook. Note to self, never plan on cooking something for your friends if you have never cooked it before. Thanks to all of you for still eating it and lying and telling me it was not that bad. I love friends who know when to tell the truth and when to lie!!!

I am very thankful for Bettie. She showed up early to help me out. The story was a lot funnier with some one to share it with. I probably would have cried if I didn't have her to laugh with. It all started out with the chocolate fondue, which went well, until Bettie and I neglected it because of the mess we were in with the cheese fondue. As it turns out, the chocolate burned. Our brilliant plan was to strain the good chocolate then scrape the burned stuff off the bottom. As you can image it didn't work so well. It didn't taste that bad, until the after taste came. As for the cheese fondue...well, $20 Worth of cheese went in the trash. I have no idea what went wrong. You couldn't even stick a pretzel in and come up with cheese.

With hungry bellies to feed, we pulled out the Velveeta Cheese and melted chocolate chips. Our "White Trash Fondue" party was ready to begin.
The Christmas party just happen to be Bettie's Birthday so we had a mini celebration for her. Happy Birthday Dear.

We had a white elephant gift exchange and played games.

Here we are modeling our Christmas presents from the Stevenson's. "I love Rupert" Shirts. Lance just won a close race in Rupert for District Attorney. Yeah Lance!!!

Despite the mishap with the food, we had a fabulous time. I just want to say I LOVE MY FRIENDS!!! You guys are the best.

Tis' the Season
I am a little behind on my blogging this Holiday season. I am going to try and play catch up before Christmas.
We started out the celebrations on Saturday after Thanksgiving. We went down to see the lights on Temple Square.

We haven't been to see the lights since Andre turned 2.

The kids were excited to ride the train. They looked so cute all bundled up waiting for the train.
After we took the kids over to the Gateway to Build-A-Bear.

If you have never been, you should defiantly go. Our kids had a blast. Plus, they have tons of bears for $10.

After they stuff the bear they get to put a heart in their bear. Before they put it in they had them rub the heart on their head to make their bear smart. They rubbed it on there ears so their bears will be good listeners, on their elbows so they can be humerus. It was so funny.

After that, they had them make a wish before they put it in their bear.

Once they are all stitched up, they got to bath their bears and fluff them with air.

They got to pick out clothes and name their bears. Andre picked out a Batman suit and named him Bat dog. Kendyl got a Tinker Bell dress and her bear is named Tinker Bear. They also can go online and play games with their bears and play with other kids. It is really pretty cool.
I Just added this picture because I think it's funny. Her Aunt Shannon taught her how to do the "rock on" symbol, but hers is more like the I love you sign. Kendyl is becoming quite the poser. She is dressed in her brothers hand me down sweat shirt and is wearing his beanie. Doesn't she look cute.
It was a great day and I am glad I got to spend it with my family. It was a great way to bring in the Christmas Season.

Andre's first Basketball experience.
Andre began basketball four weeks ago!!! He loves it. He tells me all the time that he wishes it was Saturday so he can go to basketball.

When I signed him up, they got a jersey and a tee-shirt. Andre picked the number 14. It is the same as his soccer number. For some reason he likes the number 14.
Am I ready for our son to be a Mountain Crest Mustang???

The tee-shirt says Mustang Basketball. I thought to my self Mustangs, yuck!!! You see Wes and I both graduated from Bear River and when we were in school the Mountain Crest Mustangs were a rival of ours. In fact, I will go as far to say, we hated the Mustangs. Now that we live in Mustang territory, I guess we will have to convert.

Ummm, I am pretty sure this is a foul!!!
I love the drills the coach has them do. Since it is most of the kid's first year playing, he spends more time explaining the drill then actually doing the drill. It is great entertainment.
This is Andre's best friend Gavin. They are finally on the same team. Because of new school boundaries they are not in the same school anymore, so I am glad that they are on the same basketball team.

I think that Andre is a darn cute basketball player.
